On the Map
The bouldering around Red Rocks exploded in popularity after the publication of the first edition of Southern Nevada Boudlering. The winter bouldering season in Red Rocks of 2010/2011 saw a number of strong climbers such as Ethan Pringle, Matt Wilder, Chris Schulte, Tim Doyle, Mike Doyle, Ben Williams, Noah Kaufman, Chris Tartaglia and Andy Raether bouldering outside of the well-known spots at the Kraft Boulders at Red Rocks. The popularity of Red Rocks bouldering is not exclusive to the expert climbers; the second edition is a comprehensive guide to the the bouldering around Las Vegas (Red Rocks is 20 minutes from Las Vegas). Red Rock is indeed destination which many enjoy between the better known bouldering Mecca’s of Bishop and Hueco Tanks.
